“my hands relaxed the tight grip on the steering wheel”
It was January 1991, and my daughter was looking for a meditation practice to balance her XC ski racing activities. I had my first SunDo Korean Breathing experience in Burlington. The roads back to Montpelier were icy and it was snowing heavily. Instinctively I began to breathe the beginner SunDo rhythm: inhaling, holding, exhaling… my hands relaxed the tight grip on the steering wheel and I arrived safely at home. I WAS HOOKED!
Soon I noticed how the sometimes rigorous postures and various breathing patterns helped me with being homesick for the Alps. Immersed in meditation, I surrendered to an awareness of what IS and found peace within.
During the many years that I worked in the public schools, thanks to SunDo, my immune system stayed strong. I also healed several physical injuries while continuously practicing. A special bonus is the energetic body, mind, and spirit connection.
I am grateful for and committed to ☀️ SunDo.
