A Sun Do session begins with a warm-up section (about twenty minutes) of stretching designed to relax the body and prepare it for the meditation section that follows. The meditation section (the heart of the work) lasts 40 minutes, during which the practitioner stimulates the energy flow and quiets the mind by combining a deep breathing technique with standing and sitting postures. Finally, the session ends with a series of stretching and strength-building exercises intended to circulate the energy generated during the meditation throughout the body. Over time, practitioners experience major improvements in physical and mental well-being
